Ash Allen is a mechanical design engineer who started working with galvanised steel weld mesh during 2021.

His meshwork has been exhibited both outdoors (at Villa Alba Museum as part of MDW 2022), and indoors at NGV’s Melbourne Now show, at Craft Victoria and at the Melbourne Design Fair in 2023.

Whimsical yet functional, he likes creating emotive pieces which have a strong narrative.

Each piece is made by hand and is custom powdercoated, flocked or electroplated.
